Million Dollar Makeover

Did you know that, until recently, most members of the Million Dollar Band have provided their own instruments? Over the years this has made for a wild mix of different looks and sounds. 

In 2023 we set our sights on new, matching instruments for the Million Dollar Band. Last fall we saw the first installment of silver-plated instruments on Saban Field, but the silver tide is not done rolling in. 

Friends of the Million Dollar Band is committed to raising $586,900 and we have $160,000 left to complete the matching set. We need the faithful, loyal, firm and true fans of the Million Dollar Band’s help to us roll to victory and purchase the clarinet and sousaphone sections.  

The completion of this makeover will surely have the band looking and sounding like a million dollars. Any donation amount will help us hit our stride! 

You may leave your legacy with the MDB by sponsoring an instrument. Should you choose to sponsor an instrument in its entirety, you will have the option to customize a silver name plate on the instrument’s case. Sponsorships are still available for the following instruments: alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, mellophone, clarinet, and sousaphone. Full sponsorship prices are as follows: 

Clarinet: $600 

Alto Sax: $2,300 

Tenor Sax: $2,700 

Trumpet: $1,400 

Mellophone: $1,700 

Trombone: $1,770 

Sousaphone: $7,500
