Every student has at least one fond memory that surrounds University Recreation (UREC), whether it’s an intramural game, enjoying summertime at the pool, or a strenuous Pilates class that changed a student's life. The impact of UREC on our campus is huge, however, it’s the experiences created by student employees that make UREC so unique. 

For over 40 years, staff and student employees have created an environment that encourages the community to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. Over 400 students are hired each year as lifeguards, trainers and instructors, intramural officials, and customer service personnel, to assist in developing a memorable recreational experience. As much as students have added to the value of the organization, UREC has also provided students with certifications and training to equip them professionally.
