Sport Wheelchairs for Adapted Athletes

The University of Alabama Adapted Athletics Giving Challenge 

There is a lot of preparation that goes into a new season. Our athletes are building endurance and learning plays, but the most important form of preparation in adapted athletics is using a wheelchair that is tailored to fit an adapted athlete’s body. Just as football and basketball players wear different shoes in competition, adapted athletes use different wheelchairs for their sports, designed and built to maximize their skills and abilities.   

We receive great support from the University; however, the growth of our program is reliant on the generosity of donors like you. Purchasing three custom sports wheelchairs will help to prepare our athletes to compete at their highest level.
