Crimson Racing is a student design team at The University of Alabama, participating in the Formula SAE competition. Formula SAE challenges teams of university undergraduate and graduate students to design, develop, and compete with formula-style race cars. The competitions give teams the chance to demonstrate and prove both their creativity and engineering skills in comparison to teams from over 120 universities around the world. Since its inception Crimson Racing has successfully competed at both FSAE Michigan and Lincoln, placing 10th overall at Michigan 2019 and 26th overall at Michigan 2021.
Your donation will help Crimson Racing to purchase necessary materials and tools and help our students to reach competition by sponsoring a student and their cost of attendance. Your generosity allows us to cover the competition expenses for our students, allowing them to gain priceless experience in engineering and fast-paced problem solving, all while helping our car to race to the finish line.
A donation of $25 will allow the team to purchase necessary supplies and consumables for our composite manufacturing.
A donation of $50 will allow Crimson Racing to complete one oil change.
A donation of $100 allows the team to purchase driver safety equipment, such as a racing suit or helmet.
A donation of $250 will allow Crimson Racing to cover the costs of travel, lodging, and other competition expenses for one student.
A donation of $500 will allow Crimson Racing to work towards purchasing a set of new tires for competition.
