Faculty/Staff Innovation Pitch Competition

May 26, 2022

On March 18, 2022 AEI hosted the 3rd annual Faculty / Staff (or all employee) innovation pitch competition.  This year the prize pool grew to $45,000 (from $30k last year).  A new staff-only set of prizes worth $10,000 was added; our goal was to encourage more staff to get involved.  The winners are announced on this page:

https://aei.culverhouse.ua.edu/aei-competitions/faculty-staff/

Our faculty and staff competitors will be working during the summer to move their ideas forward. Some of these ideas are groundbreaking big ideas that can have a high impact on business and society. Others are smaller innovations that are important to many and can be produced perhaps with less resources while still creating big wins.  The student, faculty and staff competitions all demonstrate that UA can be very successful when we finally reach our goal and can build our own accelerator to help propel our entrepreneurs forward.
